Marzipan Labs

Software company

Built to a standard
we set ourselves.

Marzipan Labs builds software for people who will use it every day. What makes it difficult is what makes it worth building.

What we build

01 / What we build

Software that earns its place.

We design and build software people use every day — products where advanced machine learning does the difficult work, and the person using it simply finds that it understands. The difficulty is considerable, and all of it stays on our side of the screen.

02 / Disciplines

What this takes.

  • Applied machine learning

Frontier models, retrieval, and the engineering that turns raw capability into behaviour a person can depend on without thinking about it.

  • Systems and infrastructure

The services our software depends on are engineered for continuous, unattended reliability. Whatever stands behind a product sets the ceiling on how good that product can be.

  • Interface and interaction

An interface that feels obvious is the hardest kind to build. We spend a disproportionate amount of time on the parts nobody will consciously notice, because that is where adequate and excellent part company.

  • Security and privacy

Hardware-backed authenticity, credentials that exist only on our own infrastructure, and the smallest amount of data we can operate on.

03 / Standards

What we hold to.

  1. 01

    Precision

Exactness is not a finishing touch applied at the end; it is decided in how a thing is built. We are unusually patient about the distance between working and working properly.

  2. 02

    Restraint

Most ideas are refused. What survives has earned the room it takes, and carries no weight it does not need.

  3. 03

    Longevity

We build software meant to run for many years, and we go on supporting what we have published. That intention changes every decision taken before it.

  4. 04

    Discretion

What our software learns about a person belongs to that person. We treat that as a constraint on the design rather than a line in a policy.
